Things to do Alone in Ottawa

Looking forĀ things to do alone in Ottawa? If you’d like to have a very fun time by yourself, solo travel in Ottawa is great! But it’s even more fun when you invite me.

Ottawa is the capital of Canada.  The city has many nice things to visit, such as Parliament Hill and amazing museums.

Furthermore, the city is perfect if you’re looking for things to do by yourself. Whether you want to make friends, learn something new, or have fun, it’s there.

For example, you can explore the food of Ottawa with a meetup group. This is very fun if you like food and you want to get to know others.

Besides that, there are many unique and fun things to do alone in Ottawa too. For example, you can watch scary movies with a group, or you can take art classes at the Ottawa School of Art.

And there are many more wonderful activities for solo travel in Ottawa!

Here are a few of my personal favourites:

Guided Tour by Amphibious Bus

Some of the sights this one-hour tour covers include Rideau Hall, Byward Market, and Lake Dow.

What’s amazing about this tour is the vehicle that you ride in.

This vehicle can travel both on land and water. And because of this, you can see the city from two different perspectives, which is incredible!

Explore the Food of Ottawa With a Meetup Group

Do you want to explore the food of Ottawa, but do you want to do this with others? Then you can join the “Ottawa Foodies” Meetup group.

This is a great group if you want to meet others to explore the food venues of Ottawa with. It is one of the most amazing things to do alone in Ottawa!

Walk Through the Dominion Arboretum and Relax

The Dominion Arboretum is a beautiful place in Ottawa. And this place is great for solo travel in Ottawa.

It is a very large place where you can find over 1500 different species of trees, which is amazing!

Furthermore, there are walking paths going through the arboretum. Because of this, it is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll on your own through nature.

After spending some time here, I’m sure you will feel very rested, which is great!
